AI Automation & Enterprise Integration

Normalize events, prevent duplicate handling and keep draft generation separate from delivery.

Before you start

  • JSON, event IDs and basic conditionals. Begin with local fixtures rather than production accounts.

The reading and planning exercises need no paid course or API. Optional inference, training, IDE features and hosted services may require hardware, accounts or paid access. Use the local or manual alternative before spending money.

Start with the official learning material

Free-to-read references checked 3 November 2026. Reading documentation does not activate a provider or create a subscription.

Practice with a concrete exercise

  1. 1. Draw a workflow contract

Read the first-workflow guide. Sketch trigger, normalization, decision and result-storage nodes. Define what happens when a field is missing or the upstream system retries the same event.

  2. 2. Use manual sample events

Load three fictional tickets through a local script or manual n8n trigger. Assign categories using explicit rules and write proposed responses as draft text. Do not add outbound account credentials.

  3. 3. Replay failures

Send a duplicate ID, an invalid payload and an unknown category. Keep a result log and a review state. Confirm repeated processing does not create two drafts and failures are available for retry.

Check what you learned

  • Duplicate input IDs do not create duplicate results.
  • Malformed payloads have a visible error state.
  • Practice runs make no outbound delivery or account changes.

Keep your artifact, observed checks and remaining limitations in a short README. Mark any exercise you only designed rather than executed.
